I don’t understand all the negativity in the reviews, yes, it is not aimed at Bourne territory, but it is tense, superbly acted and keeps the attention.
Fassbender is great again and unlike most spy dramas, it is actually quite believable
I have not seen the French original before, so forgive me if I don’t make a comparison, but it would be a shame if some negative comparison prevented me from enjoying it. Maybe the pacing issues come from the binge culture, it is probably slow if you want to watch several episodes at once, but honestly I don’t see any problems with that. Please don’t let any negativity stop you from watching it, it is definitely worth your time.
